Josh Kalender was born in Melbourne, Australia. He first took the stage at the age of 7 in a production of Peter Pan. Having earned himself numerous lead roles in various theatrical productions over the next ten years, he then transitioned into Film and T.V. He studied for many years under the careful tutelage of John Orcsik at 'The Australian Film and Television Academy' before going on to work in Australian television including primetime shows such as Neighbors and Blue Heelers.

He moved to L.A in 2006 where he continued his studies under the renowned Ivana Chubbuck. Having booked work on shows for FOX, ABC and the IFC, Josh then decided to add another string to his instrument and transitioned into writer. In December he finished writing his latest script 'Coming Home' which recently went into pre-­‐ production with Josh booked to play the lead.
